Abstract: This study was piloted in Jimma Horro District of Kellem Wollega Zone, through the objective of evaluating smallholders’ chicken managing system of the area. An organized questionnaire and Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approaches significant to Small holder chicken management were used to collect data. A study stayed piloted on the designated Households relating Small Holder Chicken Controlling Structure. The most leading chicken running classification in the survey part was a survival extensive method which is constructed on native and better chickens with hunting besides periodic additional breast-feeding of home-based particles then home nutrition rejections. As the views of respondent’s home chicken is basis of revenue that profits females subsequently around 99.4% poultry coverage of the District are described to be kept through females who remain supposed to be accountable for creation nearly entirely the main directions regarding chicken. About 86.7% of the respondents have no separate chicken household. Serious limitations of the smallholder chicken manufacture in the revision area were moderately due to the dominant lowly supervision observes, in specific disease, predator, absence of appropriate vigor attention, and lowly accommodation. It was decided that exertions have to be finished to move the manufacture standard to semi intensive aiming on business concerned with invention founded on searching with a universal care of facilities such as well-being, covering, delay, credit and selling to make it fruitful and supportable.

Abstract: The standardized party and academic affairs management is an integral part of office work within private universities and it is my firm belief that its status quo will undoubtedly be affected during the “Internet Plus” era. It is found that there are problems in party and academic affairs management in schools of private universities: outdated party and academic affairs management mode, unclear division of labor of party and academic affairs management personnel and a lack of professional informationization ability, lack of standardization in the process of management, lack of guidance and systematic training for the personnel, insufficient innovation of the performance appraisal system, complicated operation process of the management, huge impact of Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools in the “Internet Plus” era, and big challenges from diversified Chinese-foreign cooperation school running modes in private universities. In this paper, we will put forth how to best improve the efficiency of party and academic affairs management during the “Internet Plus” era and the concept of “informationization management”; in order to effectively enhance its development within private universities. It is suggested that a hierarchical management mode should be adopted, party affairs office should strengthen the awareness of services, focus on the work assigned by the school and timely provide information about it, management personnel should strengthen theoretical knowledge, enhance competitiveness, improve work quality and efficiency, academic affairs management personnel should build WeChat public platforms for academic affairs management, and academic affairs office should effectively develop and apply the “smart campus” mobile app and constantly improve the performance appraisal and incentive system in order to ensure that the academic affairs management of schools of private universities is implemented in a timely manner under the background of the “Internet plus”.

Abstract: Higher education institutions (HEIs) employ varying parameters to increase their assessment and consideration as institutions of choice for learners and competitiveness in comparison to other institutions offering similar content output. All institutions of higher Education gear towards growing their capacity in both qualitative and quantitative domains as they seek to change positively the society within and without the HEIs jurisdiction. The growing need for visibility and demand for higher education has left many higher education institutions with a mirage of challenges on how to improve access while maintaining quality. This research focused broadly on; ranking determinants and development of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), and the impact and inter-relational effects the determinants of academic quality postulates on academic quality development, while comparatively critiquing the academic dynamics for University of Nairobi (UON) & Jiangsu University (UJS). Specifically, and regarding the ranking systems, academic quality of UJS and UON, certain contemporary study design guided current study. The depth, quality and reliability of ranking determinants as the nature of HEIs internal quality assessment and external visibility is investigated as it largely underscores on the nature and weight of ranking variances implored by the various ranking systems of HEIs a midst their developmental antecedents under higher academia to underscore the comparative significance, directions and (inter)-correlational characteristics amid UJS & UON’s contemporary higher education variances in their process of academic developmental antecedents and process. The research then delves at the impact of key parameters (teaching, research, attitude, performance and internationalization) on changing the academic quality of UON and UJS and on a comparative domain, finally the study tackles the effects of inter-relational associations of key parameters to the academic quality at both vertical and cross-section analogy in a bid to address their relevance and effects of academic quality and collaboration amid UON and UJS. The methodological underpinning implied to actuate the objectives is mixed in approach. Its qualitatively intensive where the quality and reliability of ranking systems is delved from a review process of the relevant literature concerning HEI’s, while an intensive-descriptive to qualitative review technique is implied resulting to a critical analysis of relevant literature. The study compares and contrasts the ranking variances for UON & UJS higher academia being quantitative intensive and integrated in approach while using primary data to quantify the fact that there exist variances and impacts amid the higher academia of UON & UJS.

Abstract: The relative newness of globalization processes means that insights into the complexities of management systems operating in a global environment are yet to mature. No single definition for global quality management systems (QMS) has been accepted in the literature, and there is a dearth of systematic research, models and methodologies for dealing with the complex challenges posed by globalization. These challenges are further compounded when organizations use business and strategic processes such as mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships to accelerate growth. This article fills a gap in the field of global QMS development in light of these processes, and presents a preliminary attempt to develop theories and methods for analyzing global QMS in the dynamic field of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. Data was collected from intensive field research concerning the development processes of 18 multinational companies over three years. Grounded Theory methodology was used for developing a nascent theory, a starting point not only for further research but also for developing a global QMS strategy, which is currently conspicuous in its absence. Key variables that influence the work environment, constraints, interfaces, and goals of a global QMS were formulated by reviewing the development processes of the participating multinational companies, and identifying the theoretical, practical, and gaps of leading strategic, operational, and marketing characteristics and needs generally and specifically of the QMS as related to M&A. The themes articulate the significant issues and challenges that global QMS face following M&A and can serve as a preliminary skeleton for constructing a body of knowledge concerning the proactive perception of the conduct of a global quality system experiencing the challenges of M&A and global expansion. This article lays a potential foundation for broader and deeper research on a nascent theory, that will be able to guide global QMS functions in dealing with the dynamic process of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. The impact assessment serves as a tool for identifying and developing the proper QMS integration strategy, thereby helping plan global QMS strategy and identifying the steps necessary for its effective implementation. Integration of strategic, operational, marketing, and QMS assessments before conducting the merger and acquisition (M&A) augments the functional level of management and supports developing a strategy for integrating the global QMS in the acquired company.

Abstract: Re-engineering the construction business process has been regarded as an acceptable management technique for reducing the overwhelmed construction challenges that have ascribed prolonged unsustainable competitiveness for most small and medium local construction firms in less developed countries. This study adopted the business re-engineering philosophy to identify and recommend the Strategic Business Process Model for the sustainable competitiveness of local firms in the domestic competitive environment. The questionnaire and in-depth interview survey were opted to collect the data from 227 respondents sampled through purposive sampling. SPSS 24-AMOS was used to analyze the data and create a structural equation model for sustainable competitiveness. The findings have revealed eleven (11) construction core and three (3) organizational process-related strategies, which suggest that the integration of design (β1=0.228, p=0.000), procurement (β2=0.091, p=0.003), construction management (β3=0.264, p=0002) and organizational (β4=0.068, 00; p=0.004) strategic processes have proved a positive significant in attaining sustainable competitiveness of local firms. The study serves as a valuable empirical mark that provides insight and initial evidence for researchers, policy makers, and stakeholders in understanding potential construction core and organizational process strategies adopted by local firms to attain a competitive advantage.
